Scholz says G7 states continue discussion of Russian oil price cap

MOSCOW, Aug 11 (PRIME) -- The G7 states have not yet completed discussion of the Russian oil price restrictions because of its high technical complexity, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Thursday.

“We are discussing implementation of the mechanism, it is only possible if it works globally,” he said.

“It cannot be done unilaterally, only in close cooperation with many countries. These discussions are ongoing, because of the high technical complexity they have not been completed yet.”
